Paws to Home
My 14-year-old daughter started a foundation to help shelter animals get adopted. Then we built an app for it together.
This one is a feel-good story, and it isn’t really mine. It’s Fiora’s.
My daughter Fiora is 14. She started Paws to Home, a foundation that connects animal shelters with organizations willing to sponsor adoption events and other ways of helping animals find homes. She and I built the Paws to Home app and website together to support the foundation.
What it does
For adopters: a short lifestyle quiz returns your top three matches, each with an explanation of why that animal could fit your life. You can browse every listing, save favorites and request a meet & greet.
For shelters: register, get verified, manage your profile and animal listings, and accept, decline or reschedule meet & greets from a dashboard. Every shelter is verified before it can list animals.
More to come!
